2 Proposals to Get To Work
by: Kristen Pavle
Two Proposals to "Get To Work" (note to self: re-phrase to remove "work"? what about "start to play"?)
-
Finish design exercise with Dave: draft UI for main interfaces (views and components)
- Dave has this booted up on his notepad
- We've talked through some of the structure already, and I have notes on this here
- Basically need to merge Dave's notepad with my notes into a Figma comp that's organized
- Idea being this will help connect the back- and front-ends
- This is the first front-end design, UI/UX, that we're proposing for the relational OS, feeling some "pressure" to get it right, would be good to discuss this with group
-
With the front and backend that we create, brainstorm a few ways to organize games
- games are a fundamental piece for collaboration in the relational OS, so would be nice to get some ideas brewing here
- not feeling like this is a priority (this may be something for the next cycle of build), but I do think it would be nice to get the brain working with the new infrastructure, and games feel important
Meta
- Maybe this is a proposal in and of itself?
- I'd like to pay attention to HOW we design. Dave and I, yes, but also with the larger group - how do we bridge the gap between front- and back-end?
- I know Dave wants to bring in designers who are more into the pixels aspect of design so he can focus more on the flow of the app and the over-arching shape of this thing (which is quite broad
- To bring others in, however, we'll need to understand how we're working. I tend to do this with projects, observe and reflect on how we're working and how to onboard others
